Duties & Responsibilities:
We are now seeking candidates for the Assistant Manager position in the Enforcement Division (Investigation - Intermediary Misconduct Team). This is a good opportunity to join our team of professionals in the Enforcement Division of the SFC. The Enforcement Division investigates and combats market and listed company crimes, and intermediary misconduct. These investigations are intellectually challenging and crucial to Hong Kong’s status as an international financial centre. You will be part of the Intermediary Misconduct Team responsible for investigating misconduct committed by persons regulated by the SFC, unlicensed activities, contraventions relating to virtual assets (VA) and offers of investments. You will gather and analyse evidence, make recommendations to senior management regarding potential breaches of the Securities and Futures Ordinance and Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Ordinance, as well as other instances of misconduct by regulated persons. You will also work closely with legal professionals within the SFC to prepare cases for criminal, civil or disciplinary proceedings.
Requirements:
To be successful in this post, you should possess a university degree with at least 3 years of relevant professional experience, preferably experience in investigation or law enforcement. You should be a team player and good communicator with excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Knowledge of Mandarin will be a plus. Familiarity with the securities and futures markets, financial services industry and VA-related activities is a strong advantage.
