Duties & responsibility:
The responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Supervise a team of senior managers, managers, assistant managers and external vendors to manage all day-to-day aspects of SFC’s technology infrastructure both in our data centres and on our cloud platforms.
- Manage, expand & modernise the SFC’s end user support Helpdesk team with a view to run 24x7 eventually.
- Proactively review and re-design SFC’s Technology stack, including Cloud and On-premises hardware and software to make it fit for purpose for the future.
- Provide standardized & well architected technology platforms and processes to the application teams to simplify, speed up & streamline application development.
- Diversify SFC’s technology stack to improve resilience and reduce concentration risk.
- Manage and modernise the cybersecurity team and continue to improve the SFC’s cyber resilience posture.
Requirements:
The successful candidate for this position:
- must hold a university degree or above in IT, computer science, information systems, data science, or related disciplines; and at least 10 years of managerial experience in the Technology industry; a master degree in a relevant discipline is a plus.
- must have deep system design experience as well as a strong architecture background.
- demonstrate experience in successfully applying machine learning and artificial intelligence to business problems.
- needs to demonstrate excellent leadership skills, motivation for growth, and willingness to mentor less experienced staff.
- must have excellent ability to communicate to technical and non-technical stakeholders including the seniormost leaders at the SFC.
