Duties & Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Director of Corporate Finance, the candidate will play a key role within the Corporate Disclosure Team (Monitoring). Responsibilities include assisting in the design of, and conducting, appropriate thematic review in relation to listed issuers and monitoring of disclosures made by listed companies.
A primary objective of the Corporate Disclosure Team is to detect possible corporate misconduct and material disclosure failures involving listed companies and conduct preliminary enquiries prior to referral to the Enforcement Division for further investigation. The candidate will be tasked with identifying listed companies that might have been involved in corporate misconduct and material disclosure failures through a combination of high-level data analytics and detailed scrutiny of corporate disclosures, market intelligence and other available information.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should hold a university degree, with preferred qualifications and experience in Information Technology with a minimum of 12 years’ experience in corporate finance, audit, compliance review or investigation — such as within investment banks, regulatory bodies, law enforcement agencies or accounting firms. Knowledge of regulations governing listed companies would be important. Exceptional conceptual, analytical, interpersonal, written, and presentation skills are critical for this role. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to analyse complex transactions and technical documents, evaluate regulatory and legal issues, and develop effective regulatory solutions.
