Duties & Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Director of Corporate Finance, the candidate will play a key role within the Corporate Disclosure Team (Monitoring). Responsibilities include monitoring and reviewing disclosures issued by listed companies, as well as conducting follow-up enquiries, using appropriate technology based solutions.
A primary objective of the Corporate Disclosure Team is to detect possible corporate misconduct and material disclosure failures involving listed companies and conduct preliminary enquiry prior to referral to the Enforcement Division for further investigation. The candidate will be tasked with identifying listed companies that might have been involved in corporate misconduct and material disclosure failures through a combination of high-level data analytics and detailed scrutiny of corporate disclosures, market intelligence and other available information.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should hold a university degree, with preferred qualifications and experience in Information Technology with a minimum of 4 years in the field of business development, corporate finance, audit or law enforcement. Hands-on experience in deploying technology-based solutions (such as programming and data analysis) for the review of large datasets and identification of suspected problems are essential. Knowledge of regulations governing listed companies would be desirable. Exceptional conceptual, analytical, interpersonal, written, and presentation skills are critical for this role. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to analyse complex transactions and technical documents, evaluate regulatory and legal issues, and develop effective regulatory solutions.
