Duties & Responsibilities:
Reporting to the ED(IP), the Senior Director will have the responsibility for leading relevant team(s) in formulating policies that foster the robust market expansion. Maintain active engagement with industry and stakeholders to support innovations as the market rapidly evolves. Developing and enhancing mutual market access arrangements with Mainlands and other markets, as well as other projects that will promote Hong Kong as a leading and full-serviced asset management centre.
The Senior Director shall also assist ED(IP) in overseeing the authorisation and on-going monitoring of investment products authorised by the SFC
Requirements:
- University degree, with a professional qualification in Accounting/Law/Finance
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in the financial sectors and/or securities regulation
- In-depth knowledge of and hands-on experience in product authorization and development of regulatory codes and platforms to facilitate the launch of new products
- Proven track record of managing and leading a team of professionals in both operational and policy settings.
- In-depth knowledge of the SFO, its subsidiary legislation and relevant product codes and guidelines
- Proven ability in working with Mainland and other agencies and regulators in cross border co-operation and mutual market access arrangements
- Practical hands-on experience in managing cross divisional/departmental teams and projects
- Able to communicate and promote policy ideas in a multi-stakeholder environment
- Excellent conceptual, analytical, interpersonal, and written and oral presentation skills
- Excellent command of written and spoken Chinese is a must
