Mr Paul Yeung joined the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) in 2005 and currently holds the position of Chief Governance Officer and Commission Secretary. Heading the Secretariat and External Department under the CEOO’s Office, Mr Yeung provides overall governance oversight and supports alignment with the Board’s steer and the SFC’s objectives. He is also secretary to the SFC’s Board and a member of the SFC’s Executive Committee. He has previously worked in the Corporate Finance Division and the Investment Products Division.
Appointed by the SFC, Mr Yeung currently serves as a board member of the Financial Dispute Resolution Centre and the Investor and Financial Education Council respectively.
Mr Yeung is a lawyer by training and qualified as a solicitor in the Hong Kong SAR as well as England and Wales. Prior to joining the SFC, he practised as a solicitor in Hong Kong specialising in insolvency, restructuring and corporate commercial matters.
