Mr Paul Yeung joined the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) in 2005 and currently holds the position of Commission Secretary and Chief Governance Officer. He serves as secretary to the SFC’s Board, and is a member of the SFC’s Executive Committee; he also oversees the SFC’s corporate governance and external functions. He has previously worked in the Corporate Finance Division and the Investment Products Division.
Appointed by the SFC, Mr Yeung currently serves as a board member of both the Financial Dispute Resolution Centre and the Investor and Financial Education Council.
Mr Yeung is a lawyer by training and qualified as a solicitor in the Hong Kong SAR as well as England and Wales. Prior to joining the SFC, he practised as a solicitor in Hong Kong specialising in insolvency, restructuring and corporate commercial matters.
