Assistant Manager - Mainland Affairs, CEO’s Office and Central Services

This is a valuable opportunity for you to join a dynamic team focused on Mainland-related policy development as well as co-operative projects between the Hong Kong and Mainland capital markets. The SFC has a dedicated Mainland Affairs team to serve as the main contact point for cross-boundary cooperation with the CSRC and other Mainland counterparts. The team also provides insightful advices on Mainland-related cooperation initiatives and develops strategies and priorities to enhance the competitiveness of Hong Kong as an IFC.

Duties & Responsibilities:

By joining us, you will be responsible for facilitating and participating in the Mainland-related policy work that have impact on Hong Kong. Your primary focus will be to provide assistance in conducting China policy research, including comparative studies of international regulatory policies, analysis of China market trends and identification of specific policy issues for detailed review. You will also help liaise with regulatory and professional bodies in both Hong Kong and Mainland China and maintain relationships with them. In addition, you will be responsible for managing projects and organizing events for internal as well as external stakeholders.

Requirements:

To be successful in this position, you should have a university degree and/or professional qualification preferably in Law, Finance, Economics, Accounting or as a CFA, with three years or more relevant experience in the field. Having relevant experience with Mainland regulators and agencies is an advantage. You must be an active team player with strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills. You should possess sound organisational skills and be competent at managing events. You must also be able to work under pressure in a multi-stakeholder environment. Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese is required. Fluency in Putonghua is a must.
