Duties & Responsibilities:
The Strategy and Technology Team of the Enforcement Division is seeking a motivated and high-calibre data scientist with sound experience in leveraging data for business intelligence. This is an excellent opportunity for you to join our team of professionals in the Enforcement Division of the SFC. This role will interact closely with various functional teams to address operational challenges and deliver new insight.
- Collect, integrate and interpret structured and unstructured data;
- Conduct quantitative analysis to facilitate the team’s risk modelling;
- Create dashboards and visualizations to transform complex datasets into actionable insights; and
- Design and implement data-driven solutions to optimize processes and drive strategic initiatives.
Requirements:
To qualify for this role, you should have a university degree, preferably in data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field. You are expected to have at least two years of experience in business data analytics, along with a strong proficiency in Python (or a comparable language), SQL, as well as business intelligence tools such as Power BI. You should also possess a good command of scripting languages and knowledge of web scraping techniques. Familiarity with financial fraud analysis and behavioural segmentation will be an advantage.
