Manager - Information Technology (Business Intelligence), Corporate Affairs

With the growth in demand for data analytics, the SFC is now seeking expertise in these areas to meet business demands and the continual support and maintenance of our data analytics platform.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Foster a data-driven culture within the organization by building trust and influencing all IT and business sectors.
  • Engage with users to gather data analytics requirements.
  • Collaborate with users to conduct BI-related feasibility studies, leveraging a comprehensive understanding of SFC data models, market data resources, and the regulatory framework.
  • Identify existing data or propose the generation/acquisition of additional data to meet regulatory objectives.
  • Design and build data interface and data analytics solutions using appropriate platforms and analytical tools (dashboards, reports, alerts, etc.) to fulfill business requirements.
  • Design and implement backend data models, data cubes, and data analytic logic.
  • Identify, design, and develop data extraction methods from internal or external systems.
  • Continually enhance business analysis solutions and data models to adapt to changing market and regulatory requirements.
  • Uphold and maintain governance standards on the business intelligence platform.

 

Requirements:

  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in the IT industry, focusing on data warehousing and business intelligence.
  • Highly analytical and capable of identifying and aggregating data to fulfill regulatory objectives.
  • Hands-on project experience with:
    • Data visualization and analytic tools such as Power BI, SSRS, SSIS.
    • Relational databases and data warehouses such as SQL Server, Oracle, or similar.
    • NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Redis, Neo4j, or similar.
    • SAS 9.3 or higher (Enterprise Guide, SAS Web Report Studio, Viya).
    • Machine learning with numerical data.
  • Demonstrated ability to make a significant impact and add value, with a track record of leading cross-divisional work across IT and business units.
  • Proven leadership skills with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Self-motivated, action- and result-oriented, with a proven ability to work as part of a team and influence others.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Experience in the finance and regulatory industry is a plus.
  • High level of responsibility and impeccable integrity.
