Senior Manager - Enforcement (Surveillance - Market Misconduct Team)

Duties & Responsibilities:

As a Senior Manager, you will lead a dedicated team focused on monitoring and detecting potential market misconduct, including insider dealing and market manipulation. You will be responsible for recommending actions to senior management and supporting the surveillance department in identifying, analysing, and interpreting emerging trends, innovations, and issues within the market. Your role will also involve developing and implementing advanced analytical methods and models to uncover potential market abuse, collaborating with investigation teams to analyse trading data and market information, and providing market expert opinions in legal proceedings.

Requirements:

Ideal candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • A university degree in finance, accounting, or related disciplines.
  • Extensive experience and comprehensive knowledge of securities and financial markets, including business models, products, and practices. Prior experience in trading, structuring, fund management, corporate finance, equity or credit research, or as a financial officer within Hong Kong-listed companies will be considered an advantage.
  • A high degree of self-motivation with the ability to proactively manage and advance projects.
  • Strong numerical and analytical aptitude, coupled with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data analytics programming languages is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with the ability to communicate effectively being essential.
