Duties & Responsibilities:
This position presents an exceptional opportunity to join a professional team tasked with overseeing exchanges, clearing houses, and automated trading services in areas such as trading, clearing & settlement, risk management, and system infrastructure. The team also actively participates in regulatory policy initiatives designed to foster the ongoing development of Hong Kong’s financial market.
The primary responsibility of this position involves contributing to the development and enhancement of policies governing, amongst others, the derivatives market and the position limit regime in Hong Kong. Additional duties include reviewing applications for excess position limits, monitoring short position reporting, overseeing the operation of key market infrastructure, and conducting research on local and international market trends.
Requirements:
Applicants must hold a university degree in Law, Information Technology, Accounting, Finance, or other relevant disciplines, coupled with at least five years of solid and relevant experience within the securities and futures industry or regulatory bodies. A good understanding of the operations and regulatory frameworks of securities, futures, and derivatives markets in Hong Kong or other major markets is required, with preference given to candidates possessing hands-on experience in operational functions.
Candidates must demonstrate exceptional analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team. A strong sense of responsibility and unwavering integrity are essential. Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese is mandatory. Ability to speak Putonghua is preferable.
