Duties & Responsibilities:
In the ever-changing market conditions, regulators worldwide are facing increasing challenges posed by financial innovation and complex regulatory issues. As a securities regulator, the SFC is charged with the responsibilities to protect investors and to facilitate market development.
If you see yourself possessing the qualities to serve the Hong Kong market as a securities regulator, and being part of an expanding professional team in product authorization and policy formulation for fostering Hong Kong’s market development, we invite you to join us as a Contract Manager in our Investment Products Division.
The successful candidates will be responsible for a combination of regulatory work, including the processing of applications for authorisation and registration of investment products in accordance with SFC product codes; providing support to legislative projects and conducting comparative studies on international securities laws; assisting in policy projects and providing analytical support on regulatory and financial matters in Hong Kong, Chinese Mainland and overseas markets.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have a university degree in Law / Economic / Accounting, preferably with a minimum of five years of solid and relevant work experience in legal or financial services. Exposure gained in law firms, financial institutions or other regulatory bodies is preferable. Experience in investment products, IPO or corporate finance related work and good knowledge of the Listing Rules will also be an added advantage. You should have excellent legal, analytical, writing, presentation and interpersonal skills, and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. An excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese is required, with proficiency in Putonghua a plus.
