Manager - Infrastructure Services, Information Technology, CEO's Office & Central Services

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Architecture & Management
  • Design, implement, and manage hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure solutions to meet business and application project needs.
  • Lead the adoption and integration of infrastructure automation solutions to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and scalability (e.g., Infrastructure as Code, automation scripts, orchestration tools).
  • Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies to enhance operational efficiency and support future organisational requirements.
  • Support application teams by providing infrastructure guidance and technical expertise throughout project lifecycles.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity strategies for both cloud and on-premises infrastructure; conduct regular testing and reviews.
  • Collaborate with the Information Security Unit to ensure robust and resilient security architectures are in place.
  • Plan and manage organisation-wide IT logistics and resource allocation for infrastructure projects.
  • Oversee vendor relationships for infrastructure products and services, ensuring service quality and adherence to standards.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have: 

  • University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline. A postgraduate qualification is highly regarded.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in IT infrastructure, including at least 8 years in architecture and administration roles within both cloud and on-premises environments.
  • In-depth expertise with both cloud (e.g. Azure or AliCloud) and traditional data centre technologies, including hybrid infrastructure solutions.
  • Strong experience in Microsoft Windows Active Directory, Exchange Server, AIX/Linux administration, SAN architecture, TCP/IP networking, firewall technologies, and integration of these platforms to deliver robust infrastructure solutions.
  • Proven ability to assess emerging technologies for their suitability and value to the organisation’s environment.
  • Experience supporting application development teams across multiple projects, ensuring infrastructure aligns with project requirements.
  • Hands-on experience in implementing and managing infrastructure automation solutions (such as Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, configuration management tools, or related automation frameworks).
  • Demonstrated vendor management experience in both development and support contexts.
  • Results-focused approach with adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and recognised as a proactive contributor to the team.
