Senior Manager – Enforcement (Surveillance – Market Misconduct Team)

Duties & Responsibilities:

As a Senior Manager, you will lead a specialized team dedicated to monitoring and detecting potential market misconduct, including insider dealing and market manipulation. You will be responsible for formulating recommendations for senior management and supporting the surveillance department in identifying, analysing, and interpreting emerging trends, innovations, and market issues. Your role further encompasses the development and implementation of advanced analytical methodologies and models to identify potential market abuse, collaborating closely with investigation teams to analyse trading data and market intelligence, and providing expert market opinions during legal proceedings.

Requirements:

Ideal candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • A university degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in and strong knowledge of securities and financial markets, including a solid understanding of market business models, products, and practices. Experience in trading, structuring, fund management, corporate finance, equity or credit research, or in a senior finance role with Hong Kong-listed companies would be a distinct advantage.
  • Strong self-motivation, with the capability to proactively manage and drive projects forward.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical abilities, supported by strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data analytics programming languages is an advantage.
  • Exceptional command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with demonstrated effectiveness in communication.
