Duties & Responsibilities:
- Implement and provide ongoing support for a new data warehouse and data governance software as part of the enterprise data platform.
- Administer and support Oracle databases in both production and non-production environments, including installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, backup & recovery, and disaster recovery.
- Monitor database health, troubleshoot issues, and perform performance tuning and optimization.
- Manage database users, privileges, roles, and security controls.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure stable and secure database operations.
- Undertake any other ad-hoc tasks or projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, with at least 7 years of IT experience.
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator in enterprise data platform projects.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of database, data warehouse, data catalogue, and data governance.
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL and MongoDB Database.
- Experience in Linux and shell scripting.
- Experience with GaussDB, OceanBase, TDSQL, Dataphin, DataArts is a plus.
- Solid experience in database administration, production support, incident/problem management, and database migration.
- Hands-on experience in performance tuning, capacity planning, high availability, and database security management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders and vendors effectively in a matrix environment.
- A strong sense of responsibility and impeccable integrity is essential.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese is required.
