Temporary Assistant Manager (12-Month Contract) – Business Analyst (Data and AI Transformation Programme) - Information Technology

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support the end-to-end execution of the Data & AI Use Case Identification under the Data & AI Transformation Programme, from use case identification and business analysis through solution implementation and adoption
  • Work closely as the liaison with business divisions, IT teams, and external consultants to identify, analyse, and prioritise high-value Data and AI use cases
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops and requirements gathering sessions to understand business processes, pain points, opportunities and desired outcomes
  • Elicit, analyse, document and manage business, functional, data and reporting requirements
  • Develop use case assessments, business cases, process maps, user stories, functional specifications and solution requirements
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and vendors to define target operating processes, future-state workflows and solution designs
  • Support solution implementation activities, including requirement clarification, design reviews, configuration validation and change impact assessment
  • Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, test case preparation, defect management, user coordination and sign-off processes
  • Support change management, user readiness and adoption activities to facilitate successful implementation and benefit realisation
  • Review and quality assure vendor deliverables throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements:

  • University graduate in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Analytics or related disciplines
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business analysis, data and AI related initiatives, solution delivery or digital transformation
  • Demonstrated experience in leading Generative AI and Agentic AI use case discovery, business case development, prioritisation and implementation, with the ability to bridge business requirements, data considerations and technology capabilities to deliver measurable business outcomes
  • Demonstrated experience supporting the implementation of enterprise data platforms, data warehouses, data catalogues, data governance tools, ETL/data integration solutions, analytics platforms, Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions, including requirements analysis, solution design, testing, user acceptance and deployment
  • Solid understanding of financial regulatory business functions, operations and processes, including areas such as licensing, supervision, inspections, investigations, enforcement, market surveillance, and regulatory reporting. Experience supporting business or technology transformation initiatives within regulatory bodies or financial services organisations is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage business users, technical teams, vendors and senior management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese, with the ability to articulate ideas and issues clearly in layman’s terms
  • Strong ability to consolidate complex information into clear and actionable deliverables, including user stories, functional specifications, process flows, presentations and management reports
  • Proven experience working across the full project lifecycle, from business requirements definition through implementation, testing and deployment
  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery methodologies
