SENIOR MANAGER - POLICY, CHINA AND INVESTMENT PRODUCTS (POLICY TEAM) (Ref. SFC/SM/PCIP/P/0912)

 

The position will offer you an excellent career prospect and an opportunity to join a dynamic team of professionals responsible for managing policy projects and formulating policy initiatives regarding the development of the Hong Kong market and investment products. You will assist the Head of the Policy Team in drafting proposals and pitchbooks on policy issues relating to market development. You will also be responsible for conducting market analysis and comparative studies on the securities markets in assessing the impact of proposed regulatory policies of the Commission. You will interact with senior personnel in other regulatory bodies and professional bodies as well as actively build and maintain relationships with them.

To be successful in this position, you must have a University degree and professional qualification (if applicable) in Law / Finance / Economics / Statistics / International Relations together with at least 8 years of solid work experience in the financial services and/or public administration sector, preferably with a strong background on Policy Research and Legal Studies.  In-depth and hands-on working knowledge of the securities regulations and market practices of the Mainland market and other international financial markets would also be desirable.

You should possess excellent problem solving and multi-tasking skills since you are expected to assist the senior management in managing policy projects and should be able to work under pressure.  Candidates are expected to have led and coached multi-discipline teams.  Excellent presentation skills including report writing and an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese is a must. Proficiency in Putonghua and/or prior working experience in leading overseas financial markets will be an advantage.

Candidates with less relevant experience may be considered for the position of Managers.
