Background Information:
Xie was the Independent Non-executive Director of Coolpad Group Limited (“Coolpad”, the shares of which are listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, stock code 2369) between 21 November 2004 and 21 December 2021.
Xie was also an Independent Non-executive Director of Shenzhen Sed Industry Co. Limited (the shares of which are listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, stock code 000032) between 2010 and 2014.
Xie is currently the chairman of the Academic Committee of Shenzhen University and a professor of the College of Information Engineering of Shenzhen University.
The SFC had made various attempts to contact Xie since 2021 but has not been successful.
The SFC has credible information that Xie is currently not in Hong Kong.
We wish to speak to Xie in connection with matters concerning Coolpad and its subsidiaries.
